About Me
After graduating from the University of Sheffield with a 2:1 in Mathematics & Philosophy, I worked for two years as a commercial engineer for Alstom Power as part of their graduate trainee program. Following Alstom, I began an accountancy trainee contract with a chartered accountancy firm in Putney in South West London. I stayed at the firm for six years, and whilst there obtained my two professional qualifications. The firm was bought out in 2015, and in 2016 I decided to leave to spend four months backpacking in South East Asia. When I returned home, I worked for a newly established accountancy firm in central London which specialised in the creative and entertainment industries. I stayed at the firm for ten months, before deciding to leave to pursue my own practice in 2017.
Working for the three firms gave me exposure to all aspects of general practice, and allowed me to see a variety of different ways that accountancy professionals operate. I worked with a broad variety of different clients, and advised on a wide scope of issues. Clients I have worked with in the past include shops, restaurants, consultants, construction companies, a dentist, a doctor, an artist, models, marketing companies, a PR company, a wine investor, a produce importer, a TV and theatre production company, as well as with high net worth individuals and high profile public figures.
Outside of work I like to meet up with friends, play golf, and spend time with my family, especially my nieces and nephews. I'm a Liverpool FC supporter, but don't let that put you off.
